Lake Yale Fishing 10/5/23

I hope all endured the very unseasonably hot weather over the summer months. Fall is here and with that comes falling water temperatures. One local resident continues to bring home stringers of slabs. Congratulations. Bass are on the move to fatten up for the winter. Key here is finding baitfish. Find the baitfish and you find the fish. If they’re not in your usual “Honey Hole” keep moving around until you find them. Fish will be schooling up so you should be able to cash in on them.
FWC is on the lake again and large rafts of hydrlla are washing up. Winds have been blowing from the North/ NE for over a week pushing the hydrilla to our shores. Also reported is the pour water quality, with FHD and FWC cautioning to not come into contact with lake water due to Blue/green algae. As a precaution, IT’s recommended that fish filets be rinsed off with tap water and cooked a little longer before consuming.
Local bait shops have minnies and wild shiners for your desired Species along with tackle.

Be safe out there and courteous to your fellow fishermen.

We all love fishing so if you would please share any helpful information so others may be as successful as you.
