For the few resident fishermen that are still here fishing has been very slow after the last new moon. Bait fish are starting to show up but fish are still mixed up due to recent weather conditions, lake level dropping and hydrilla spraying.
Crappies - No reports.
Bass - Numbers of small fish under 3 lbs being caught if you can find them. Inshore grass and offshore hydrilla clumps seem to be producing on soft plastics. Jerkbaits early over hydrilla tops first thing in the morning are producing.
A local resident is painting lures and they seem to be hot ticket for individuals who have purchased them.
I’ll be closing my reports until my return after the summer.
